Spring is here!
The Spring Real Estate Market is thriving, and we are seeing a significant increase in demand for homes in Voorhees, especially from millennials.
In fact, the current absorption rate in our area is only 3 months, which means that if no more homes come on the market, we will only be able to sustain the current demand for up to 3 months.
This is great news for anyone considering selling their home, as the high demand can lead to a boost in your bottom line.
If you are thinking about selling your home, now is the perfect time to do so. To get started, it's essential to focus on your curb appeal, which can significantly impact the value of your property. That's why we've put together a helpful checklist to help you get started.
Friendly reminder: Before you make a repair, be sure to check with a real estate agent to make sure it is worth your return on investment. Feel free to Book A Call with me if you have any questions or want a free consultation!

Late August feels like the end of summer once IU is back in session, but two of Bloomington's most reliable weekly draws are still running at full strength: Griffy Lake Boathouse and the Bloomington Community Farmers' Market, which just added a second weekly market.
Curious what it's like to live near Bloomington's parks and markets? Call or text (812) 360-3863 and I will show you around.
Griffy Lake Boathouse runs its longest hours of the year through August, daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., before shifting to weekend-only access in October and closing for the season in November, per WBIW's June 2026 reporting.
•Kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards rent for $12 an hour, life vests included; a 10-rental pass runs $100.
•If you're bringing your own non-motorized boat, the city requires its own launch permit ($10 a day or $100 a year), separate from a standard Indiana DNR permit.
•Electric trolling motors are allowed with a permit; gas-powered motors are not.
•The lake holds largemouth bass, bluegill, and catfish for anglers with a valid Indiana fishing license.
The Bloomington Community Farmers' Market runs every Saturday, April through October, 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Showers Common downtown, per the City of Bloomington's market page. This year the city added a second weekly market on Tuesdays, 4 to 7 p.m., at Hopewell Commons, the new development on the former IU Health hospital site covered in our Hopewell South piece back in May.
Both markets carry produce, eggs, meat and cheese, honey, seasonal flowers, and prepared food, run rain or shine. In November the Saturday market moves indoors to the Switchyard Park Pavilion.
Recurring weekly draws like these say something about day-to-day life in a neighborhood that a listing sheet can't. If you're weighing a property near downtown or near Switchyard Park, it's worth knowing what's actually happening nearby on a normal Saturday, not just what the square footage says. The same goes for Food Truck Friday at Switchyard, which is still running through the end of October.
Daily, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., its longest hours of the year, before shifting to weekend-only in October.
Saturdays, April through October, 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Showers Common. A second weekly market now runs Tuesdays, 4 to 7 p.m., at Hopewell Commons.
$12 an hour with a life vest included, or $100 for a 10-rental pass.
If Bloomington's parks and markets are part of what's drawing you here, let's find a home near what you'll actually use. Call or text (812) 360-3863, or visit LesaMillerRealEstate.com/Links.
